What makes brunch so ‘sexy’? Why is it so intriguing? Is it because you get the best of both worlds, breakfast and lunch? Or is it that there is no food judgement? Honestly, we may never know the ‘why’. But what we do know is it brings out the hidden sexy of friendship and food.
Let’s go to brunch! Just listen to those words! Those words have a deeper meaning when they are connected together in a sentence. They mean we are going to talk about anything; we are going to laugh off the stress of last week; we are going to start a new week; and, we are going to EAT!
Whether you choose a brunch buffet or a menu option, it still has that special something. Oh, and let’s not forget the mimosa, bellini, champagne options. That once was the upscale brunch, but now it’s far from even being a question. It’s just part of the experience. So as you sip your beverage of choice, you try to decide on French Toast, Eggs Benedict , Chicken and Waffles, or a Frittata. The waitress has to stop by more than twice to see if you‘re ready to order because as you think about a side of bacon you are chatting away about anything and everything. As the words “One more minute, we are so sorry“ slips out , one of you blurt out, “Wait, we are ready!”

You sip your drink and nibble on your bacon and laugh. You giggle and talk and say things like “omg this is delicious” all at the same time. It’s the mix of it all that creates the moment. The moment you thought about since the statement, “Let’s go to brunch” met your ears.
Indulge! It’s ok! Take it all in! You are happy! You love your outfit, the company, the laughs, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the waitress, the silverware, the aromas, the background chatter… just everything! It truly is all so sexy!
